OUR STORY

KM Sports Entertainment, Inc. is a global sports event and talent management company headquartered in San Diego, California. KM Sports Entertainment specializes in event management, talent representation, and television production.

​

Founded in 2007, KM Sports Entertainment secured sports marking contracts with corporate companies such as Dell, Intel, Coca-Cola, and Garmin to manage and facilitate sports marketing campaigns.

​

In 2008, KM Sports Entertainment secured a sports marketing contract with Dell that made Dell one of the top sponsors of WTA tournaments worldwide. During this time, KM Sports Entertainment worked directly with many national and international WTA tournaments to secure vast branding opportunities and TV exposure for Dell.

In 2014, KM Sports Entertainment acquired the WTA tennis tournament the Carlsbad Classic, held in Carlsbad, CA, in November of 2015. In 2015, KM Sports Entertainment also purchased WTA tournament the San Antonio Open which was held in March of 2016.

In 2016, KM Sports Entertainment created a subsidiary company, Pro Tennis Group, LLC., to operate and manage all Hawaii-based events of KM Sports Entertainment. Ben and Kyla Goldsmith are the sole managing partners of both companies.
 

In 2016, Pro Tennis Group purchased the rights for a WTA tournament in Hawaii, which became the Hawaii Open and was held in November of 2016.

The 2016 Hawaii Open became the biggest professional tennis tournament in Hawaii in decades with a main draw of 32 singles players and an 8-team doubles draw. In 2017, the Hawaii Open was broadcast live internationally for seven days and included 32 singles players and a 16-team doubles draw.

 In 2018, the Hawaii Open grew beyond the WTA 125k Event, and secured contracts with top-10 WTA and ATP players including Garbiñe Muguruza and Kei Nishikori. The 2018 Hawaii Open was held at Blaisdell Arena December 21-23, 2018, and was also broadcast live around the world.

The 2019 Hawaii Open was held at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu December 26-28, 2019, and featured top ATP and WTA players such as Sam Querrey and Angelique Kerber and was also broadcast live internationally.

After the pandemic, Pro Tennis Group brought professional tennis back to Oahu with the 2022 Waikiki Cup. The event was broadcast live from Waikiki and featured top ATP and WTA tennis talent as well as several VIP events. All KM Sports Entertainment events feature VIP Pro-Ams, Players Parties, private dining opportunities, Kids Days and Community Events, and many opportunities to interact with players and highlight local culture.
